Effective management systems

Course description
  • Professional accountants find themselves in numerous management positions in a practice or in industry. Accountants also regularly give advice to clients on running their businesses and making them more profitable. This course helps to focus on what a company or practice is trying to achieve and whether their management systems are in harmony with this?
  • This course considers fundamental questions such as what are our objectives? It contains references to several theoretical models to stimulate the thoughts of management as well as real life examples, ranging from applications for accountancy practices to costing and manufacturing processes in industry. Examples are even taken from global firms to illustrate the points made and graphically show what can happen when things go wrong.
Who the course is aimed at:

  • This presentation is aimed at accountants - in practice, in industry or in commerce - and is relevant for those who are involved with the preparation and/or audit of accounts in accordance with UK GAAP.
