This course will review the key tax changes and developments affecting UK companies, and will cover:
• The new associated companies legislation in FA 2011
• Changes to capital allowances
• Tax implications of ‘connected company’ debt
• FA 2009 distribution ‘exemptions’
• FA 2011 degrouping charge exemptions

About the Presenter
Peter Rayney FCA CTA (Fellow) TEP is an independent tax consultant, advising owner managed companies, accountants, lawyers and tax practitioners on various tax issues. He was previously with BDO for nearly 20 years and during the last five years he was BDO’s National Tax Technical Partner. He specialises in Corporate Tax and Corporate Finance Tax, reconstructions and all aspects of owner managed business taxation. He regularly contributes tax articles to the professional press and is author and editor of various books and journals, winning the prestigious Taxation ’Tax Writer of the Year’ award in 2002 and was short-listed in 2008, 2009 and 2011. Peter chairs the ICAEW Tax Faculty’s SME Business Tax Committee.
