Course Description

The purpose of this course is to present an update and overview ofthe main recent and planned changes to PAYE and NIC, both on terms of the taxrules and the system.

PAYE was introduced in the UK on 6th April 1944, albeit its roots can be traced back to World War 1.  There are over 1.2 million employersin the UK, the majority of which are small and medium size enterprisesemploying around 29 million individuals.

Income tax and NIC Tax collected via PAYE represents the largest contributor to tax revenues, a significant amount of the work is carried out byunpaid tax collectors, i.e. employers. 

Who the course is suitable for

The course is suitable for all accountants, in private practice ora commercial environment, indeed anyone who is an employer or acts for clients who are employers or employees.

About the Presenter

Mahmood Reza, (FRSA, ATT, MCMI, FCCA) is the owner-manager of an accounting, business services and training organisation.  He lectures onvarious professional courses and is also an associate lecturer at Aston University. He has been involved in many training projects worldwide.
