Course Description
This course will give an overview of the requirement for consolidated accounts in respect of groups.
Specific areas covered will include:
· The requirement to prepare group accounts
· Exemptions from consolidation
· Accounting for subsidiaries, associates and Joint ventures
· Acquisition and merger accounting and when each should be used
· Acquisitions and disposals
The course is suitable for any accountant involved with preparing accounts for Croups, be they in private practice, industry or commerce.
About the Presenter
Darren has over twenty years of experience in the profession. He was with Grant Thornton LLP for several years and then became a Technical Manager with Macintyre Hudson LLP. He is now a freelance lecturer, author and independent audit file reviewer. He has lectured for many top organisations such as CCH, ICAS, Mercia and Macintyre Advisory Services. He has extensive experience in many specialist areas such as pension schemes, charities and solicitor audits.
